Listen: Vermont man charged after allegedly clubbing his mom with a gun over deer meat

Every year, police are called to incidents of violence that occur around the Thanksgiving holiday. This one about a man who reportedly clubbed his own mother over some deer meat is definitely a bizarre example.

Doc had the story on today’s show. Zachary C. Merriam, 21, has been charged with first-degree aggravated domestic assault. His 40-year-old mother told police that he had chased her through the house and hit her with the stock of his rifle because of a dispute over a deer he had shot.
