Sales of adult coloring books continue to rise

Over the past few years, specialty coloring books have been marketed to adults as a way to reduce anxiety and relieve stress. In fact, adult coloring books routine occupy multiple spots on Amazon's top-ten bestseller list. Mike Opelka is miffed that grown men and women are engaged in such a frivolous pursuit.

"A few of my friends said, 'You know, I've got to get you an adult coloring book,'" Mike says. "And I said, 'I will use it for kindling. That's a good idea. I hope it's going to be easily crumpled up.'"

Mike then takes aim at a new podcast that features hosts reading boring stories out loud to help people drift off to sleep.

"This is a thing," Mike says incredulously. "And you know what? I have to give them credit. It's probably brilliant. They're probably going to get a bazillion dollars because of the ad revenue they will have when they put the little bitty ads on the front of the podcast."
