Glenn Beck: Pope Francis won't be popular with the media after these politically incorrect comments

What's going on?

Pope Francis has fallen out of liberal good graces yet again with a pair of controversial comments about gay marriage and abortion that (gasp!) follow church teaching.

What did he say?

Talking to a delegation of Italy's Family Association in Rome on Saturday, Pope Francis compared abortion to genocide under the Nazi regime, saying the idea of aborting a child for having health defects was today's equivalent.

"I say this with pain. In the last century the whole world was scandalized about what the Nazis did to purify the race," Pope Francis said. "Today we do the same, but now with white gloves."

He also clarified his stance on gay marriage, saying that "the human family in the image of God, man and woman, is the only one."

Glenn's take:

"This guy has been seen by the media as the 'cool pope,'" Glenn said. "But he remembered that he was a Catholic this weekend."
