During a particularly turbulent year for the nation, when many once-staple values and principles seemed in shorter supply, TheBlaze’s Tomi Lahren honed in to highlight a few of them exemplified by injury embattled NFL star Tony Romo.
“Tonight we’re going to talk about class, authenticity, selflessness, and, above all, my leadership," Tomi said. "And no, I’m not talking about President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Paul Ryan or even Donald Trump. I’m talking about my favorite Dallas Cowboy, Tony Romo.”
“Even if you’re not a cowboys fan, a football fan, a Romo Fan, or even an American, we can learn from his grace, and his leadership.
Romo recently broke his long silence and read a statement to the press about his own feelings on the former-backup, now starting quarterback, Dak Prescott.
“It’s in this moment, you find out who you really are and what you’re really about," Romo said. "You see, football is a meritocracy. You aren’t handed anything. You earn everything, every single day, over and over again. You have to prove it. That the way that NFL, that football works.
“A great example of this is Dak Prescott and what he’s done. He’s earned the right to be our quarterback.”
