Watch: Will more hotels add extra security measures after Las Vegas shooting?

Guests coming into the Wynn resort in Las Vegas on Monday afternoon had to go through metal detectors and a bag inspection, creating a 10-minute delay to get inside.

Vegas – along with the rest of the country — is still on edge after the tragic shooting late Sunday night that left 59 people dead and hundreds wounded.

Doc and Kris talked about the Wynn story on Wednesday’s show while filling in for Glenn. Can extra safety protocol help, or is it just a hindrance to visitors that doesn’t really add any security?

In an interview last year, Wynn Resorts Chief Executive Steve Wynn warned, “Las Vegas is a target city. We have hardened the target at the Wynn.” He listed new security measures that had been implemented, including metal detectors at every entrance that weren’t visible and guards specially trained to respond to an attack.
