No Uterus, No Right to Talk About It! Understand, Motherf***er?': Woman Caught on Video Unleashing Violent Tirade on Pro-Life Activists
July 10, 2014
"You don't give a s**t about women, you don't give a s**t about life! All you are is just a bunch of f***ing a**holes!"
A woman was caught on video Wednesday unleashing a profanity-laced lunchtime tirade against anti-abortion demonstrators, appearing to shove at least one person and kick down displays.
The woman, identified as Victoria Duran by WSYX-TV, approached members of Created Equal who were demonstrating outside the state house in downtown Columbus, Ohio, and began ranting and swearing at them.
Duran, who looked to be wearing a Burger King crew shirt, was videotaped wagging a finger and standing toe-to-toe with a protester while yelling, “You’re just a white f***ing privileged racist f***ing male who doesn’t stand for women’s rights!"
Among her other declarations:
- "How dare you f***ing do this kind of s**t asshole!"
- "You don't give a s**t about women, you don't give a s**t about life! All you are is just a bunch of f***ing assholes!"
- “No uterus, no right to talk about it! Understand, motherf***er?”
Here's the clip of the incident (content warning: lots of profanity ahead):
She was also seen kicking down a pair of displays.
Duran was seen apparently trying to knock a camera out of the hand of Seth Drayer, the group's director of training, who was videotaping the tirade: "Get that camera out of my face!"
"I was alarmed for my safety of myself and my team," Drayer told WSYX, adding he was "concerned about what was going through the woman's mind who stopped."
Columbus police told TheBlaze on Thursday that Duran was issued a summons to appear in court on misdemeanor charges of assault and criminal damaging.
“We understand the risk we take each time we go into the marketplace of ideas with a message as counter-cultural as showing the victims of abortion," Created Equal Executive Director Mark Harrington told LifeNews, adding that "despite the threat we will not shrink back from representing the victims."
In the video, police are seen calling Duran off a bus to talk; she leaves her seat and holds out her arms, saying "take me."
"The First Amendment protects them from government interference; it doesn't protect them from people just basically telling them they're idiots," Duran told WSYX afterward.
The reporter pressed Duran: "But you assaulted them."
"Assault?" she responded. "I wouldn't necessarily say shoving them aside and telling them to keep the camera out of my face as assault."
The reporter didn't let that slide: "You think it's OK to push people?"
"I believe that I had the right to tell them that they did not have my consent to film me," Duran said.
