Gloria Cain didn’t know about Ginger White

Herman Cain‘s wife Gloria was left in the dark about his friendship with Ginger White, according to the Union Leader.

White claimed last week that Cain had a 13-year extramarital affair with her. Cain denies the affair, calling White simply a friend. He said he did give White money to help her with “month-to-month bills and expenses,” but his wife didn’t know about it.

Cain also stated clearly for the first time that he is considering getting out of the presidential race

Asked whether leaving the race is one of the options he is currently assessing, Cain said, “Yes, it is an option.”

Cain told the New Hampshire Union Leader that in about 70 text messages she sent him between Oct. 22 and Nov. 18, she was “asking for financial assistance. She was out of work and had trouble paying her bills and I had known her as a friend.

“She wasn’t the only friend who I had helped in these tough economic times, and so her messages to me were relating to ‘need money for rent’ or whatever the case may be. I don’t remember all the specifics.”

Hang in there, Herman!

This latest round of accusations is completely implausible. A man battling Stage 4 colon cancer will not carry on a “thirteen-year affair” with anyone, and that’s that. Not gonna happen. Back in the day, reputable news outlets would refrain from publishing groundless accusations that obviously conflicted with known facts. That was the difference between respectable journalism and sleazy supermarket tabloids – a difference that no longer exists.

  Herman Cain should keep running, even if he’s not doing well in the polls. He should STOP defending himself against these allegations and start talking again about why he loves this country, how he became a successful Black business leader, and how anything is possible in this country. Please Mr Cain, keep telling us your story. You don’t have to become President to help “fix” this country. God Bless you!

He was giving a woman money without her knowing then I would have to say there was not a whole lot of talking between them going on. If my husband did that I would wonder why. Husbands and wives discuss things as well as budgets.If someone is using money for things outside of the budget without the other knowing usually they are doing it behind their backs for a reason and it usually is not good.

Everyone knows that the left will attempt to destroy any candidate that they perceive to be a threat. I initially believed that this is what they were doing to Mr. Cain; however, with this last woman coming forward I knew that something was going on. There was no hard line demanding proof of this 13 year relationship. It was as if Mr. Cain wanted to say the least amount possible in the hope that he could prevent escalation of the accusation with further details.

No man simply gives a woman money for no reason. It would be very different if Mrs. Cain knew, but Mr. Cain obviously “helped” Ms. White without Mrs. Cain’s knowledge. Any financial assistance provided to Ms. White by the Cain family should have been approved by both Mr. and Mrs. Cain.

It is terrible that the left has again used politics of personal destruction to eliminate a candidate. We should also remember that they went so far as to more than likely destroy a marriage. I feel terrible for Mrs. Cain.

  Jennifer you are jumping to some conclusions that are not necessarily true. I have given money to men and woman and not told my husband. The reason I didn’t tell him is not because I was hiding anything. I simply didn’t tell him because he knows I’m always helping people so it was no big deal and that’s why I didn’t tell him. Why do people always think that there are not good hearted people in the world who just help people without wanting a payback. Jennifer, good hearted people are few in numbers but I assure you that they do exist. Ms White had children and maybe that’s why Herman felt sorry for her and helped her out. Have you ever thought that maybe Herman was helping for Ms White for her children’s sake and not because he wanted to sleep with her. Remember that Herman grew up as a poor child so he is sympathetic to children in poverty. When Herman had his radio show I recall him talking about how he was helping people to pay their bills that were struggling financially due to the downturn in the economy. I even remember him talking about how heartbroken it was to see this woman standing in front of a store with one of those advertising signs while she had her baby in the stroller next to her. He said he wanted to run for president to help people that are struggling like that mother who had to bring her baby in the stroller to work with her while she stood outside trying to make a few dollars by holding up an advertising sign.

Up until now I didn’t think much else than Herman Cain is being railroaded. Now I am skeptical. No way does a man lend the family’s money to someone without discussing this with the wife. She didn’t know anything about this woman? Give me a break! Text messages at 4 am? Give me a break! Even if he is not lying he is a snake to lend money to a woman “friend” that his wife has no knowledge of. He cannot wiesel his way out of this as far as I am concerned! Railroaded or not, he is definitely guilty of keeping secrets from the wife …..that one is FOR SURE! If they want to save face….so be it. So go ahead and reassess! He is caught here in a lie whether or not he had sex with her or not. Snake! He does seem to love his wife but who knows? He is a snake!

  JUJUBEEBEE, you are so so wrong. There are good hearted people in the world who will give you money to help you without wanting something back in return. Just because he helped a single mother financially, it does not mean he slept with her.
  
  Because people are so caught up in themselves, they find it hard to believe that someone would actually care enough about a single mom with two children about to be evicted to help her out without wanting anything in return. I think it is more of an indictment on us than on Herman Cain. It shows that we wouldn’t help someone for nothing so we think no one else would help someone for nothing. But that’s just not the case. There are good hearted people in the world who would give you the shirt off their back and want nothing in return. People like that really do exist Jujubeebee. Especially in the South where Herman is from.
  
  Yes he should have told his wife. That’s why he has apologized to her. However, just because he didn’t tell her, it doesn’t mean that he was trying to hide it or that he was sleeping with Ms White. I have given money to men and women and didn’t think it was a big deal so I didn’t tell my husband. I wasn’t cheating, I just didn’t think it was a big deal because I’m always helping people. How many times have you spent money or gotten a credit card without tellying your spouse? People spend money every day and don’t tell their spouses so that’s not as unusual as everyone is pretending.
