Janet Jackson is PETA’s ‘Grinch’

PETA names Janet Jackson Grinch of the Year

Janet Jackson (Ms. Jackson, if you’re nasty) was named PETA’s “Grinch of the Year” on Saturday.

In a blog post, the animal rights group listed the most ”animal-unfriendly celebrities of the year.” They included Jackson, filmmaker Cameron Crowe and Kim Kardashian.

From the post:

When Janet Jackson had her infamous “wardrobe malfunction” during the Super Bowl, at least the flesh that popped into view was her own—unlike the stolen animal skins that she drapes herself with, which are as dead as her taste in fashion (not to mention her career). Ms. Jackson, you’re just plain nasty

As Gossip Cop points out, Jackson launched a fur clothing line with fashion company Blackglama in late November.

I have to ask: PETA, what have you done fur me latelyyy?

Never been a Jackson fan, but dislike PETA, good for Janet and the other on the list.

If God had intended that man not eat animals, he would not have made them out of meat. :P
There is overwhelming archeological evidence that humans have evolved as and have always been omnivorous beings, eating meat as well as a wide variety of other foods to survive. While I do not condone cruelty to any animal, I believe that it is natural for man to make beneficial use of the products we get from animals. That includes fur, meat, hide, and other animal body materials. There is nothing morally wrong with this, in my view. However, we should also be good stewards of our animal populations, treating animals without cruelty and unnecessary pain and suffering. And with a minimum of waste. If we are going to kill it, we should try to make sure we do get beneficial use of it. This is where I believe the ethics enter into the picture.

Janet continues to be one beautiful lady.

I appreciate that you said animals should not experience “unnecessary pain and suffering.” I think you are absolutely right. Unfortunately, what many people don’t realize, is that the leather on our purses and shoes, and the fur on the collar or coat, does NOT come from the same animals where we get our meat. They are two very separate industries, so many more animals are being raised purely to suffer and die a painful, horrific death. All of these animals experience unnecessary pain and suffering because animals are not needed for fashion, and animals are not needed for food. Some of the healthiest people in the world are vegan and vegetarian. If they can do it, everyone can! Just look at an athlete like Daniel Bryan who just won the WWE Heavyweight title: http://vegetarianstar.com/2011/06/24/daniel-bryan-promotes-vegan-diet-in-peta-2-ad-video/

I just gained some respect for Janet Jackson (and whoever else is on that PETA list). PETA is insane. I would loooove to take a couple of their most rabid supporters, drop them into the heart of a Siberian winter wearing their fake furs, then come back the next day offering a real fur coat… They’d be fighting tooth and nail over who gets to wear it.

Last time I checked, Janet Jackson wasn’t in the heart of a Siberian winter. I’m pretty sure she’s quite cozy with all of the money she’s making off of the Blackglama campaign, profiting off of the suffering and murder of innocent animals. And just so you know, PETA accepts fur coat donations throughout the country, and donates those furs to homeless people (because they’re the only ones with an excuse to wear them).

I am speaking from knowledge of physiology. I suggest you read up on AMA and many scientific studies/research that just like our ape cousins we are meant to be vegetarians.Meat putrifies in our bodies causing carcinogens.
here is an exceprt from scientific research:
“You see, the digestion of meat itself produces strong
carcinogenic substances in the colon and meat-eaters must produce
extensive bile acids in their intestines to deal with the meat they
eat, particularly deoxycholic acid. This is extremely significant,
because deoxycholic acid is converted by clostridia bacteria in our
intestines into powerful carcinogens. The fact that meat-eaters
invariably have far more deoxycholic acid in their intestines than
do vegetarians is one of the reasons they have so much higher rates
      of colon cancer.” [2]

    Those aren’t stolen skins, they’re a jacket.

That’s not a cow, it’s a baseball mitt and a bunch of steaks.

    That’s not a pig, it’s a pork chop.

You want to guarantee certain animals don’t go extinct? Turn ‘em into food. I guarantee you’ll never see pigs, chickens, or cows on the endangered list.

Don’t like it? Bite me, PETA. It’s the truth.

If anyone in this day and age really believes Peta actually does anything to help animals you seriously need to do some more research on that scam of a movement!

Killing animals for food when necessary IS different than slaughtering them for personal aggrandizement. Janet Jackson is a “total nutter” like her brother. Both a waste of space.
Technically the human body is designed to be “vegan.” Human stomach is not designed to
break down meat. THAT is why heavy duty meat eaters are sick walking dead people.
Bloodlust slaughter of the defenceless is barbaric. Jackson is a rancid degenerate.

@Dagneyt – way to be original!
@Tharpdevenport – That video is SO DUMB. You want to know who heads CCF? Execs from disgusting corporations like McDonald’s and KFC. They just want to shut PETA down so they can keep profiting off of the pain and suffering of animals AND humans.
