Star Wars star Carrie Fisher in stable condition after massive heart attack

Much beloved star who plays the character of Princess Leia Organa in the classic Star Wars movies, Carrie Fisher, suffered a massive heart attack while on a plane.

From the LA Times:

Fisher, 60, was rushed to UCLA Medical Center by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics shortly after noon, after her 11-hour flight touched down at LAX.

A source who was not authorized to discuss the incident said the actress was “in a lot of distress on the flight.”

A statement released by United Airlines said that medical personnel met Flight 935 from London on arrival after the crew reported a passenger was unresponsive.

Fans were distressed, as many wished for her to pull through with her life. 2016 has been notorious for taking the lives of much loved celebrities, and with Star Wars coming back to the pop-culture forefront, it would have been a massive tragedy to lose Fisher as she was coming back into the spotlight.

However, we are pleased to report that Fisher has reportedly pulled through, and is in "stable condition" according to her brother.

From the Washington Post:

Her brother, Todd Fisher, told The Associated Press that she was “out of emergency” and stabilized at a Los Angeles hospital Friday afternoon. He said he could not discuss any other details about what happened.

Fans, and non-fans of Star Wars like can pray for her swift recovery.
