Sean Spicer promises that Trump's use of Twitter as president will be 'really exciting
December 27, 2016
Incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Monday that President-elect Donald Trump's use of Twitter as president will be “a really exciting part of the job.”
Spicer, a Rhode Island native, told the state’s WRPI that Trump will continue to use Twitter as a "direct" method of communication with the American people once he is in the White House.
“I think that his use of social media in particular is gonna be something that’s never been seen before,” Spicer said.
Spicer said Trump “has this direct pipeline to the American people, where he can talk back and forth” with his social media following.
“I think that allows him to add an element of a conversation that’s never occurred,” Spicer added. “He can put his thoughts out and hear what they’re thinking in a way that no one’s ever been able to do before. I mean, he does communicate in a much bigger way than there’s ever been before, and I think that’s gonna be just a really exciting part of the job.”
Spicer added that there “isn’t a boring moment” working with Trump.
