Pepper ball' anti-Trump protester hit with second major dose of karma in just days

The anti-Trump protester who made viral waves earlier this week after being hit in the crotch with a pepper ball during protests in Phoenix just received his second dose of karma in days.

The man in that video, 29-year-old Joshua Stuart Cobin of Scottsdale, was arrested late Thursday, Phoenix police Sgt. Jonathan Howard has announced.

What he's in for

Police have charged Corbin with three counts of aggravated assault on a police officer and one count of unlawful assembly, according to AZCentral.com.

Video showed Corbin kick a canister of tear gas at police after they deployed it to disperse rowdy anti-Trump protesters. Seconds later, Corbin was hit with a pepper ball right in the crotch and he immediately fell to the ground. A fellow protester later helped him to safety.

Wasn't only one

Though the video shows Corbin only returning one police gas canister before being hit, police said Corbin threw back two additional canisters. Those "assaults" were not captured in the viral video, an arrest report stated.

Admits all

Corbin was identified in part due to social media postings.

"Many of you will recognize this man as he his posted images and admissions to his crime on social and local media outlet," Howard said.

More from AZCentral.com:

In a Reddit Phoenix thread, a user by the name of gotyourqueen opened up as the "guy in the blue shorts who got shot in the crotch" on Wednesday. He wrote that he is not "antifa" — a reference to anti-fascist action groups — and does not support any violence toward police or Trump supporters.

"What I witnessed was a peaceful protest until 8:30," he wrote of Tuesday night's events. "The crowd was going to march to the capitol down Monroe St. As were were leaving I saw one character throw a water bottle at police..there were also a couple medium sized rocks on the ground. That seemed to be the reason for the tear gas."

Corbin was the sixth person arrested for unrest following a campaign-style rally hosted by President Donald Trump.
