Donald Trump Jr. returns fire on Steve Bannon: 'Bannon has lost Breitbart

Amidst a heated war of words between former White House adviser Steve Bannon and President Donald Trump, Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., fired back at Bannon in a series of tweets on Wednesday, saying the late Andrew Breitbart would be "ashamed."

What exactly did Donald Trump Jr. say?

"Alabama now has one US senator who is a Democrat and another who used to be a Democrat," Trump first retweeted from a Bloomberg reporter, adding the comment, "Thanks Steve. Keep up the great work."

Sen. Doug Jones, a Democrat who was sworn in to the U.S. Senate Wednesday, joined Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), who served in the Senate from 1987 to 1994 as a Democrat before flipping to the Republican Party. Many in the GOP blamed Bannon for Jones' recent win, criticizing him for using his media outlet, Breitbart News, to back Republican candidate Roy Moore during the GOP primary.

But Trump Jr. didn't stop there.

"Minus the foul language The Mooch pretty much nailed it," Trump Jr. said, referring to a rant from former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci last summer.

Scaramucci blasted Bannon in July, accusing him of using Trump to build his own brand.

"I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own c**k. I’m not trying to build my own brand off the f***ing strength of the president. I’m here to serve the country," he said at the time.

Trump Jr. ended his tirade of tweets blasting Bannon for his transformation of Breitbart News.
