Mitch McConnell’s Office Sends Out Photo of New ‘Obamacare’ Regulations Printed and Stacked High

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConell’s press office tweeted out an alleged photo of President Obama’s new regulations printed and stacked on Monday and, if the photo is true, it is pretty revealing.

Reaching at least twice as high as the chair next to it, the pages are bound with yards of red ribbon.

“#ObamaCareregulations – 828 pages in one day. Overall, there are nearly 20,000 pages – with many more to come,” the accompanying tweet says.

McConnell spoke on the floor of the Senate today about the “higher costs and broken promises” associated with the president’s healthcare overhaul, saying:

“Part of the reason costs are set to increase so dramatically is because Obamacare levies so many new taxes and fees. But that’s only half the story. It’s also because the law imposes so many onerous regulations.

“Just take a look at this giant stack I have here in front of me: one day’s worth of Obamacare regulations. 828 pages in one day. Overall, there are nearly 20,000 pages – with many, many more to come. This is the owner’s manual for the health care law that’s supposed to make things better.

“Are you kidding? This law is a disaster waiting to happen.

“Imagine the burden we’re placing on the single mom who wants to open her own store. Or the young entrepreneur who wants to sell some new idea. Or the business owners we all know from back home – the folks who employ so many of our constituents.

“Instead of encouraging them to create jobs and grow the economy, we’re hitting them with a brick of regulations.” [Emphasis added]

Great pix of obama beside the Regulations ! The obamacare bill was only about 2,400 pages…this shows what happens to a Bill when it goes on to be implemented..keep in mind Congress only creates the Bill not the regulations for its enforcement.

  In the law, local government at the direction of the Feds will be required to record “behavioral risk indicators”. This includes reporting all smoking and drinking to a national data base along with a records of all firearms. It also requires all the data collected in the anti gun ownership by school districts transferred from the local health departments to a national data base.
  
  Both perties are openly embracing these regulations. Total human control is the goal.
  
  As someone who’s worked in government, there is now only one way to cure the cancer. Defund it, take your hits. Local government routinely can cut 5 percent from previous years budget bases regularly. The corruption of the national media and the politicians they own do not have the ability to do what is right.

  42% of Austrians don’t think the rule of Hitler was that bad. It doesn’t make them right, it makes them ignorant. Herman Cain is riling up some people by saying that the country has an ignorance problem. For all his shortcomings, he is right about that. As some say, you don’t know what you don’t know. Proper, effective education is needed. That and the people who complain about their kids in public school should raise their kids, not let the schools do it. Prepare your children for the world and they will be less likely to lose their heads when they get into it. I don’t want to work until I’m 95 because we want to give away free stuff now. Has anyone ever stopped to ask WHO wrote this bill? You sure know Obama didn’t write “Obamacare”. So, who’s behind it? Where did the ideas come from?

Second, a law needs to be passed making it mandatory that all representatives READ every word of a bill before they vote on it. They need to post a detailed summary including any new expenses, laws, etc on their web page for all the constituents to read.

If I don’t have a heart attack just thinking about all the GOV BS – I got to wonder what crazy, psychotic overpaid Gov Workers compiled this trash – even more WHAT did it cost in labor just to come up with the ideas and put on paper. At the going rate of 5 bucks a page and thousands of hours even thinking up the crap, seem that alone would pay for the White House tours, and paying for hundreds of rounds of “Golf” to say nothing of the thousands of hours spend putting it on papaer.. We could save a lot of labor cost if we just Fire all the Nutsos.

Another thought is who is going to interpret what it says. and how many millions of dollars taking the time for the Pros to figure out what it says…Oh yeah, the old hag, simple minded, Polosi said “vote on it then you can read it”….well that’s enough, my mind is turning to mush just thinking about it.

Wonder when one of thous Asteroids is going to hit the right area in California – at the right time>>>

No doubt. When Stalin collectivized (i.e., nationalized) Soviet agriculture, he ruined and wrecked their food supply permanently, until the regime fell.

There’s another wrinkle to Obamacare we have’nt touched on much here, The growing number of self righteous bastards who now feel its okay to tell us how to live our lives because they dont want to” pay for our poor choices” (Nanny Bloomberg for one) And that’s even before the (ahem) law is in effect! And sadly, These imitation Nazis are just getting started. Anyone remember the animal rights nuts spitting on anyone wearing fur?   You are correct. First the cigarette smokers, and now it’s the overweight people. it’s all about CONTROLLING the population. Obama says that women are the most capable people on earth, but helpless to pack healthy lunches for their kids without the advice of Michelle Obama.

Given that stack of paper, what do you think the chances are that you will be able to get a straight answer out of an anonymous clerk working for your insurance company? My wife and I are already beginning to experience the effects of this legislation. Just trying to get prescriptions filled is turning into a nightmare. Congress, “a plague on both your houses!”

  @ CatB…You know she hasn’t read it. That would require intelligence. This is what is known as a “black star” bill. As it was passed around, long before the “unveiling”, and legislators each added their own pork it grew and grew, sucking in more and more rules and regulations, it became a massive jumble of legalese that would take a team of a 1000 federal court clerks to completely decipher the thing. You can bet John Roberts only read the part that levies a penalty for not carrying health insurance. Probably grew weary and said ” ah hell, it’s a tax” just so he wouldn’t have to read anymore.

One of my doctors told me today as we were discussing obamacare that at age 70 people will only get “Comfort Care,” that is just enough to keep them comfortable while they are left to die. They will not get any care beyond that, 70 is the cut off for life saving medical care.

They said it was a 2.700 page bill when it passed. 3 years later it has grown to 20.000? that’s 17.300 pages of new regulations? This has nothing to do with healthcare.. This is Communism.. Control the masses..
