'He thinks Twitter is an actual thing': Former Obama social media strategist slams Trump's Twitter use

Oh, the irony.

In this episode of "America with Eric Bolling," Eric sat down with fellow BlazeTV host Jon Miller and former communications strategist for the Obama campaign, Roger Fisk, to discuss the escalating tensions between the U.S. and Iran. But when asked to weigh in on President Donald Trump's decision to launch a retaliatory strike against Iran after the downing of an American drone, Fisk switched the subject to harshly criticize the president's Twitter usage.

"First off, the idea that the president, he thinks that Twitter is an actual thing, like it's, like, as if it's like a policy achievement or some kind of vehicle," said Fisk, who ironically is known for helping implement President Barack Obama's successful social-media campaign in 2008 and 2012.

Fisk went on to say that President Trump used "stilted language" on the social media platform to mislead the public about his immigration deal with Mexico.

Eric asked, "When the president tweets, 'Iran made a huge mistake,' do you think Tehran took notice or not?"

Jon said Tehran "absolutely" took notice, and added that President Trump used strategic tweets "very brilliantly" in negotiations with North Korea.

"His tweets are very effective and people around the world are listening," Jon said. "To say that Twitter is not a thing, I think, is hilarious."
