Levin: GOP's Georgia win is 'not going to change a damn thing'

While several in the media have touted Republican Karen Handel’s Tuesday night victory in the special election for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District as one with monumental implications, Mark Levin isn’t convinced that it means anything at all for the D.C. swamp.

“How will this election change anything?” Levin asked Wednesday night on his national radio program. “It’s one House election; it’s not going to change a damn thing.”

As much weight as people have attributed to the hotly contested and expensive election, he says, America’s “post-Constitutional situation,” with a massive debt, open borders, and an entrenched administrative state, won’t be affected at all.

Revisiting some of the themes in his forthcoming book, “Rediscovering Americanism,” the Conservative Review editor-in-chief explained that the reason for this intransigence is a decades-long campaign by the political Left to put anti-constitutional structures in place of our proper federal order.

The real lesson to be gained from Handel’s election is, Levin concludes, “No matter how many elections we win, we do not unravel what the statists and the progressives have built,” which is a government that has “devoured our constitutional system.”
