Levin: I don't remember CNN 'getting all upset' when the president's family was threatened

Thursday on the radio, LevinTV host Mark Levin hit the liberal mainstream media for the double standard they use in reporting threats and attacks on political figures.

Levin reminded listeners that mail claiming to contain the toxin ricin was recently sent to Eric Trump, Sens. Susan Collins and Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense James Mattis, and even President Trump.

The suspected ricin attacks targeting Trump, Mattis, and the chief of the Navy, were later determined to be ground-up castor beans which are used to make ricin. A Utah man has been charged in those incidents.

Levin then noted that CNN and MSNBC talking heads didn't get as upset over the potential ricin threat as they did over the suspicious packages sent to Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, CNN, Eric Holder, and George Soros. Levin said, “I really do not remember CNN getting all upset about white powder being sent to the president's family. Does anybody else?"

Listen:

"Now, why does all this matter? It matters because the media are out there are trying to determine who, politically, should benefit and who, politically, should be punished," Levin added. "It's the damnedest thing. It's the most grotesque thing. And of course, it's Trump."

"But to have these people sit there, right in the middle when the FBI and the counterterrorism task force and the others are trying to figure out who did what, and so forth — it's Trump Trump Trump Trump! No mention whatsoever that Trump's family has received threats. No mention whatsoever that Republican senators have received threats. No mention whatsoever that Steve Scalise was shot down in the middle of a baseball field, and there are other examples," Levin pointed out.
