Tesla wants you to pay $2,000 for a children's electric ATV — that you have to assemble yourself

Merry freaking Christmas, from Elon Musk.

If your kid is the “let's go four-wheeling” type like mine, then do not show them the latest kids' offering from Tesla's Bankrupt the Halls catalogue for 2021.

The Musk peeps are pushing a new all-electric ATV for kids — the "Cyberquad for Kids" — and it will only cost you *checks notes* two grand.

That's right, Tesla wants you to shell out thousands of your hard-earned dollars to nab an electric four-wheeler for your kid — and then you'll have to assemble the thing yourself.

But don't worry, the rig comes with a comic-book-like assembly booklet that is reminiscent of an IKEA instruction manual.

What's the quad going to be like? Well, remember the Cybertruck — the one that had the embarrassing botched rollout? It'll be like that.

"Inspired by our iconic Cybertruck design, the four-wheel ATV features a full steel frame, cushioned seat and adjustable suspension with rear disk braking and LED light bars," according to the ATV's description.

If you're worried about your kids getting too far away too fast on such an expensive ATV (that is, after you've spent untold hours putting the thing together), fret not. The lithium-ion battery will only run for a maximum of 15 miles at about 10 miles per hour.

All that said ... despite the cost and the self-assembly requirements, the quad does look pretty cool.
