ABC News: ‘Hundreds of Thousands’ Attend 8/28 Rally

Let the numbers game begin.

The National Park Service stopped estimating the size of crowds in 1997.  They'd received a lot of criticism for saying the Million Man March drew only 400,000.

So this leaves the guestimation to the media. That always works out so well for conservative groups.

The initial AP reports put the number in the "tens of thousands."

But ABC News has put the figure significantly higher:

Hundreds of thousands of people from around the country converged on a hot summer day at the National Mall to watch Beck and Sarah Palin talk about what they called "restoring honor."

Any bets on who is first to use the words "half million?"
