A British teen has reportedly been banned from entering the United States after he fired off a drunken email to the White House, calling President Barack Obama a "pr*ck."
According to The Sun, the FBI reportedly asked local police in the U.K. to notify Luke Angel, 17, that the insult was "unacceptable." Angel says he remembers sending a single email criticizing the president and the U.S. government after watching a program about the 9/11 attacks. "I don't remember exactly what I wrote as I was drunk. But I think I called Barack Obama a pr*ck," he said. "It was silly -- the sort of thing you do when you're a teenager and have had a few [drinks]."
"The police came and took my picture and told me I was banned from America forever. I don't really care but my parents aren't very happy," he said.
This scenario seems unlikely, or at the very least ridiculously harsh. But a local police spokesman confirmed to The Sun that they had spoken to the teen about the email. Meanwhile, a U.S. Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman said there are about 60 reasons a person might be barred from visiting the U.S., but said DHS is "prohibited from discussing specific cases."
