Fire 'em Friday: it's a bad day to be a media exec

On the heels of ABC's Dan Westin's resignation earlier this month, it was reported today that CNN president Jonathan Klein was fired. Now, NBC Universal chief executive Jeff Zucker is "resigning" -- a decision that the New York Times reports Zucker admitted "was not his own choice."

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the popularity of MSNBC and CNN: "Cable News Ratings August 2010: CNN Viewership plummets, Fox News Still on Top."

Nope.
