In a new campaign ad meant to address voters' doubts head on, California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman admits she is a "billionaire with no government experience," but says she is a better option compared to her opponent who is a "longtime politician with no plan for the future":
Politico's Ben Smith has some fun using the the ad's juxtaposition format. Here's how the ad might look if some other politicians produced it:
Linda McMahon: "I know many of you see this election as an unhappy choice between a pompous liar and a gazillionaire carnival barker."Harry Reid: "I know many of you see this election as an unhappy choice between a raving lunatic and a mumbling radical."
Rick Scott: "I know many of you see this election as an unhappy choice between a liberal stiff and a dynamic swindler."
Andrew Cuomo: "I know many of you see this election as an unhappy choice between a thug and a sociopath."
Ah, the fruit of attack ads.
