Making a difference: Laurie's story

I have been purchasing and distributing McDonald's $5.00 gift cards for years to the homeless I see in the metro Atlanta area.  I buy five at a time and leave them in my car.  There are many McDonald's in the area and this gives them an opportunity to have a meal and a cup of coffee or perhaps a couple of meals.  While this is just a temporary form of help, it's better than giving them cash.  My children and others see the benefit of this small gift and I'm hoping that others will begin to do the same.
