Obama is stuck in a 2008 state of mind

Visiting Westminster Abbey today, President Obama pulled a curious "oops" when signing the guestbook:

It is a great privilege to commemorate our common heritage, and common sacrifice.

The London Telegraphreports:

Apparently Mr Obama was heard to ask the dean what the day's date was - but managed to get the year wrong.

A Westminster Abbey spokeswoman confirmed it was the president who had written the wrong date.

What's up with that?  New York Magazine wonders...

It was really nice until he got the date wrong by three years. Granted, 2008 was a great year for him, and we might try to live it for as long as possible, too, if we were him. Also, though, he may have had a stroke.

Just further proof that President Obama has been on the campaign trail this whole time...
