John Edwards' official mugshot was released by U.S. Marshals today after the former Democratic presidential contender and U.S. Senator pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and campaign law violations earlier this month. Considering all he's done and all he faces, he looks a bit too happy to me...
A grand jury continues investigating whether money given to support Edwards' mistress and their lovechild may have come from donations to his presidential campaign. According to CNN, a plea deal between Edwards and the U.S. Justice Department fell apart after Edwards refused to serve any jail time -- apparently that would've been tough on his kids.
