In the aftermath of the Iowa straw poll this week past weekend, the media universally declared a "new top tier" was in effect for the Republican field, except the second place finisher, Ron Paul, was seemingly excluded from this tier across the board.
Jon Stewart didn't let this oversight slide. In the clip below, Stewart took the media to task for failing to give even a hat tip to Ron Paul's second place finish in the straw poll. Ron Paul was just shy of the top spot, yet conservative commentators pretended like he wasn't even a contender.
Was Stewart really trying to be fair, and does he respect Ron Paul's consistency? Or was this just a subtle attempt to distract from other Republican candidates thought to be more "electable" on a nationwide scale?
