Hit or miss: Rep. Frederica Wilson, Gingrich

Here's a twofer. Both spotted on TV. Both gasp-worthy. First up, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson. The Democratic Florida representative was spotted on MSNBC Monday in what can only be described as a Red Hots candy red cowboy hat:

Wilson has a reputation for wearing this kind of hat in public. Also this kind of hat. And this kind. Hit or miss? We're kind of into it, but daytime news TV just wasn't made for this degree of Western glamor. And so, while adjusting the saturation levels on our screens, we have to say Wilson missed it.

Next, we say aloha to Newt Gingrich. The presidential contender is currently on vacation in Hawaii, but he was also spotted on the news Monday and it looks like he got lei'd:
