ATF officials with possible links to the "Fast and Furious" gun running program may have been reassigned to different roles in the wake of public outcry, but the controversy is far from being resolved. Rather than reassigning him to a new position, Republican Sen. John Cornyn is calling on Attorney General Eric Holder to fire former ATF director Ken Melson.
“Instead of reassigning those responsible for Fast and Furious within the Department of Justice, Attorney General Holder should ask for their resignations and come clean on all alleged gun-walking operations, including a detailed response to allegations of a Texas-based scheme,” Cornyn said in a statement Tuesday.
Meanwhile, during an appearance on Fox News Tuesday evening, Sen. Darrell Issa remarked, "We know we're being gamed and we think it's time for the games to be up."
