A Connecticut-grown pumpkin has broken its state record and now weighs as much as a small car.

But this great pumpkin -- weighing in at 1,487 pounds! -- isn't the largest by far. A Utah man recently broke his state's record with a 1,600-pounder and the world record holder, set last year by a Wisconsin grower, weighs 1,810.5 pounds.
We still have to the end of the growing season before we know if 2011 will produce a new world record holder.
