Unfortunately for him, it's not the nomination he's campaigning for. The American Mustache Institute has nominated Herman Cain for the "Mustached American of the Year Award," according to Yahoo News:
"[Cain] represents a shining beacon of light for the Mustached American community, as no Mustached American has sat in the Oval Office since William Howard Taft," said the group's chairman Aaron Perlut. "[W]e see great promise in Mr. Cain's candidacy and hope he ultimately earns the right to face President Obama next year."
Other nominees for the award include former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin, John Axford of the Milwaukee Brewers and Jimmy "The Rent is too Damn High" McMillan
