The ongoing Occupy Wall Street protests aren't the first time protesters have tried to shut things down. In protests marking the 50th anniversary of the 1929 stock market crash, anti-nuclear protesters "occupied" Wall Street in 1979 and demanded an end to financial support for the nuclear industry:
