Rainbow PUSH Coalition founder Rev. Jesse Jackson appeared on Keith Olbermann's Countdown Thursday evening to share, among other things, why he thinks the Occupy Wall Street movement is an "extension" of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s civil rights activism. For Jackson, OWS and the Civil Rights Movement are connected.
“The occupation movement started in 1968 after Dr. King was killed, so this really is an extension of Dr. King’s action.” He goes on to call for the movement to “mature into political power.”
