In 1992 Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston touched America's heart by pushing the boundaries of race and love in "The Bodyguard." Herman Cain's story isn't quite like that. Mostly because he's a man rather than a pop diva and his bodyguard is an ex convict.
TMZ originally broke the story that Kristian Otto Herzog, former bodyguard to Mel Gibson's lover Oksana Grigorieva, is an on-and-off member of Cain's security detail. Herzog was convicted for impersonating a police officer in 2009.
From TMZ:
Sources connected to the Cain camp tell us ... Herzog may have been able to slip through the screening process because the campaign was in a "rush" to find extra security and didn't have time to perform a more thorough background check.
It's not as romantic. But could make for a fairly interesting movie with the right casting.
