Obama Heckled By Occupy Protesters During NH Speech

"I appreciate you guys making your point..."

President Barack Obama was in for a surprise interruption while speaking earlier today at a New Hampshire high school. The situation started with nothing out of the ordinary. After receiving a welcoming cheer from the audience, the president launched into his address about the U.S. economy.

But before he could get too deeply into the content of his speech, a rumbling came from the audience. This time, rather than a supportive cheer, the Occupy movement's familiar "human mic" melody could be heard. "Mic check!," was yelled.

The group then continued their chant with, "Mr. President, over 4,000 peaceful protesters have been arrested…” Before they could get any further into their declarations, the crowd went wild, overpowering the Occupiers with "Obama, Obama, Obama!" chants. Apparently, his supporters also chanted, "Yes We Can!," the slogan that popularized his 2008 campaign.

In the middle of the chaos, Obama looked on, smiled and appeared to be listening sympathetically to the Occupiers. "No, no, no -- it's okay," Obama reassuringly told his fans as the room erupted.

"I appreciate you guys making your point," he then told the protesters. "Let me go ahead and make mine. I'll listen to you. You listen to me."
