-- A variation of the most trite phrase in the English language, unfortunately used by Rick Santorum during last night's GOP presidential debate. I'd like to file a motion that no candidate can ever use this idiom again, along with "at the end of the day...;" "it's not Republican or Democrat, it's American..." and perhaps "chink in the armor." Just to be on the safe side.
