Herman Cain's 9-9-9 day may have been small because people were 'trying to finish their taxes!

On Sunday Herman Cain held his "9-9-9" rally against excessive taxation on Capitol Hill. Hardly anybody showed up It was a more intimate gathering, despite the event featuring the likes of Fox News' Dick Morris, popular radio host Neal Boortz and president of Americans for Tax Reform Grover Norquist.

The turnout may have been low but Cain, ever-so-sunny Cain, wasn't bothered.

"I'm not disappointed at all!" he says. "They might just be trying to finish their taxes. I knew we were running a risk—hedging on people coming out today." Grinning and irrepressible as ever, he says, "Remember, it only takes a few passionate people to create a movement and to succeed."

Or, as he put it in another report: “Don’t worry about the numbers that turn out. It was a small, passionate group that fired King George.”
