A JetBlue airliner bound for West Palm Beach, FL, was forced to make an emergency landing just north of New York City, after a goose slammed into the windshield during takeoff.
JetBlue spokeswoman Real Hamilton-Romeo says initial reports indicate no damage to the plane. The goose, however, wasn't so so fortunate:
"Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of the passengers and crew onboard, the captain elected to return to the gate," JetBlue said in a statement according to MyFoxNY.
JetBlue Flight 571 landed safely at Westchester County Airport.
