If You Have Balls': Flight Attendant Challenges Passengers to Leave the Plane During Five-Hour Delay

"never felt anxiety like I did sitting on that plane.”

Flight attendants are generally much better than passengers at keeping their cool during long delays on the tarmac or in the terminal. One American Eagle attendant during a five-hour delay at New York's LaGuardia Airport though, not only lashed out at passengers who were complaining, but challenged them to leave the plane.

"If you have balls, this is your time," Jose Serrano said. "Otherwise, you're going to have to fly with Jose."

The New York Post reports the incident, which took place on Monday, involved a 1:25 p.m. flight bound for North Carolina being delayed four hours before boarding. After boarding the plane and waiting for 40 minutes to actually take off -- other planes were in line first -- the pilot had to go back to the gate to refuel. As if this wasn't frustrating enough, the passengers sat again after being allowed to reboard.

“People were getting really amped up at this point,” passenger Jon Wurster said to the New York Post. “It took forever to get back on the plane. The fuses were getting pretty low.”

It was at this point that witnesses say Serrano got so agitated and confronted complaining passengers that some on the plane became anxious. The Post even reported a military veteran saying even though he'd been in combat he "never felt anxiety like I did sitting on that plane.”

Watch the footage that was captured on the plane:

Here's allegedly what Serrano said:

Then Serrano exploded, shouting over the intercom: “If anyone has the balls to want to get off, I’ll let you get off! Get off!” according to witnesses.

“I’m not responsible for the weather!”

“I don’t care anymore. This is probably my last flight,” Serrano sputtered, according to several passengers.

Because of Serrano's comments and actions, several passengers refused to take off and exited the plane. Some passengers and Serrano were questioned by authorities, and the Federal Aviation Administration is conducting an investigation.

After all that, the flight was canceled after 8 p.m.
