A Smart-Mouthed, Gun-Toting, Cigar Smoking Hell Beast: This Actor Helped Fulfill One of Greatest Make-a-Wish Requests We've Ever Seen

While most people would do anything to avoid coming face-to-face with a towering, rock-fisted demon hell spawn, it was a dream come true for one leukemia patient.

Six-year-old Zachary was shocked and delighted after The Make-a-Wish Foundation, actor Ron Perlman, and special effects company Spectral Motion came together to grant him his big wish: to meet Hellboy.

“Zachary loved his visit for two very special reasons. It was Zachary's wish to meet Hellboy and also to become Hellboy,” Spectral Motion's Facebook page reads.

“When the Make-A-Wish Foundation contacted Spectral Motion with this request, Mike thought it would be fantastic to have Ron Perlman reprise his role for the day," it adds.

Perlman, as you may have already guessed, played the loveable but frighteningly powerful Dark Horse Comics superhero in the live-action “Hellboy” (which is great fun) and “Hellboy II: The Golden Army” (which registers somewhere between disappointment and “meh”).

"Ron loved the idea and donned the makeup once more and also ordered a Hellboy sized meal of burgers, shakes, and fries for Zachary and his family and the entire Spectral crew to enjoy," the Facebook page adds.

Perlman agreeing to suit up for Zachary is made all the more awesome when you consider the fact that it takes him about four hours to get into costume.

“Later in the day, Zachary was transformed into Hellboy with the assistance of makeup artists Lufeng Qu and Neil Winn,” according to the Facebook page.
