Would-Be Burglar Gets Tangled in Window Blinds While Trying to Escape Police

File this one under "embarrassing." A would-be burglar's impending crimes were thwarted on Sunday when he found himself tangled up -- literally -- in window blinds. The wannabe criminal was discovered by police officers at Central New Mexico Community College in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after they received word that a break-in at the campus had occurred.

Thomas Molina, 38, told authorities that he was looking to obtain computer hardware. He was arrested and charged with burglary and breaking in and entering and is now being held on $10,000 bond. It's not currently clear if he has an attorney.

While these elements are certainly noteworthy, it was his tussle with the window blinds that is captivating headlines. When he was initially discovered by police, Molina apparently tried to run away -- a feat that the blinds made impossible for him.

So far, no surveillance video of the incident has emerged, but one can bet that we'll find it and present it to you if and when it does.
