July polls show bad news for Obama

In the latest CBS/New York Times poll, GOP challenger Mitt Romney edges out President Obama by two points -- the first time Romney has led in the match-up this year.

In addition, a new Quinnipiac poll shows Obama's lead in the key swing state of Virginia has been completely wiped out and Romney now ties the president, 44-44.  In March, Obama led in the same survey with a 50-42 percent edge over Romney.  By June, that number had dwindled to 47-42.  But with voters' approval of Obama's handling of the economy dwindling, Obama will continue to lose his edge in these key contests.

Suddenly, those Bain attacks on Romney aren't looking so promising for the president...
