Chick-fil-A franchise owner sponsors gay pride festival

Here's a twist to the Chick-fil-A controversy that you didn't see coming.

Via ABC News:

[W]hile the company's top executive is opposed to same-sex marriage, it seems one of the company's franchise owners is not. Anthony Piccola, who manages New Hampshire's only Chick-fil-A location in Nashua, has signed on to be a sponsor of the New Hampshire Pride Fest Aug. 11.

Piccola told ABC News in a statement, "As an independent franchise Operator I am dedicated to supporting our local community in the best ways possible and we give to a wide variety of causes in Nashua. The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect –regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender."
