There isn't one person of significance who has gone on the record to defend Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) since his "legitimate rape" comment Sunday. But then there's Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) who came pretty close yesterday.
“Conservatives are often cowed by the media, and there clearly is a double standard when folks on our side make an outrageous statement," Walsh said during a forum in Yorkville, Ill., according to the Beacon News. “I am bothered by this rush and silence from members in our own party to stand up for him,” Walsh added.
