NBC's Tom Brokaw Hospitalized: 'Took a Half Dose of Ambien and Made Less Sense Than Usual
September 06, 2012
NBC's Tom Brokaw tweeted "all is well" after being taken to the hospital Thursday morning, saying he "mistakenly took a half dose of Ambien and made less sense than usual."
An NBC spokesperson had said the 72-year-old veteran newsman "felt light-headed" on the set of "Morning Joe" and was taken to the hospital for evaluation "out of an abundance of caution."
Brokaw tweeted out the Ambien explanation and made a quip about the New York Giants' loss to the Dallas Cowboys at 10 a.m. Thursday.
"All is well Early AM I mistakenly took a half dose of Ambien and made less sense than usual. Made a better comeback than Giants..." Brokaw posted.
Brokaw appeared on Fox News Wednesday night to discuss Democratic National Convention with host Sean Hannity.
