On MSNBC's Morning Joe today, former CBS anchorman Dan Rather all but predicted a win for Mitt Romney today; except it wasn't based on anything more than his "gut."
"It's election day, the time for spin, chatter and analysis is over," he said. "You can lay out a plan that Romney wins this election. And I'll be honest with you -- as I always try to be: Something in my gut tells me that it's going to be a good day for Romney."
Rather went on to say that "as a reporter, you don't report your gut."
"The polls all indicate -- yes, Obama -- he has several paths to victory. Romney, he has only one. But I'm remembering that old saying 'don't taunt the alligator until after you've cross the creek.' If Obama gets his vote out, I agree he probably wins. But there's some doubt in my mind that he's going to get his vote totally out."
