Shocking Video: Man Sucker Punches London Girl to the Ground With Vicious Blow to the Head
November 21, 2012
"Is this the most brutal thug in Britain?"
A 16-year-old girl was walking in London a little over a week ago when CCTV captured a man running up behind her, then taking a full-body swing at the back of her head. The blow knocked the girl to the ground, and the man can be seen quickly retreating.
Here are still shots of the shocking attack:

The girl was close to her home when struck, she said, and had noticed a man looking at her strangely earlier.
She woke up in an ambulance, unaware of how she got there.
“It was really bad. I had a migraine, my chin was grazed and sore, my teeth were hurting because they were chipped and I couldn’t talk," she said, according to London 24.
“I hope he does get caught so he doesn’t do it again to another person. I hope I am his last victim,” she added for ITV’s London Tonight.
Police are baffled by the case, which they say is extremely rare.
"We don't know what the motive is on this particular case, but certainly I would be very surprised if some sort of illegal substance wasn't involved or something like that," Jacqui Hames, a former police officer and the "Crimewatch" presenter, told ITV.
"Is this the most brutal thug in Britain?" several media outlets have asked.
Here is the video, released by the Metropolitan Police Service:
