Oops! Danica Patrick Gets Dissed at the Start of the Daytona 500

"Drivers and Danica, start your engines."

It's the classic command -- "Gentlemen, start your engines."

Only actor and Daytona 500 grand marshal James Franco decided to riff at the start of the race on Sunday -- and in doing so, possibly knocked sole female driver Danica Patrick.

Franco said, "Drivers and Danica, start your engines."

Maybe it was NASCAR nerves, or perhaps the actor just needed a few more rehearsals. Watch his flub:

As the Associated Press noted, Franco had hinted he was planning to go his own way with the starting words, and passed on the charge used when Patrick raced in the Indianapolis 500,"Lady and gentlemen, start your engines."
