Here's Suspect #2's Alleged Twitter Account (He's a 9/11 Truther)

"idk why it's hard for many of you to accept that 9/11 was an inside job."

Although suspected Boston Bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was pronounced dead early Friday morning, the manhunt for his brother and supposed accomplice Dzhokhar, 19, continues.

And as the number of federal and state law enforcement officials involved in the hunt continues to grow, so too do questions regarding the brothers alleged involvement in Monday's terrorist attacks.

Left to right: Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26.

If the Chechen brothers are indeed responsible for the Boston Marathon explosions, what drove them to do it? What do we know about them? We may not know for quite some time.

However, Dzhokhar’s alleged Twitter account, unearthed by intrepid journalists on Friday, may shed some light on the situation.

"I would confirm this as to being his Twitter account. Those users went to my high school," Stefanie Gardner, of the Rindge class of 2011, tells BuzzFeed.

Several others have since reported that it is indeed Dzhokhar’s account.

“The account is listed under the name ‘Jahar,’ which is what classmates called him because his full name was hard to pronounce,” Gawker’s Adrian Chen explains.

So what can we glean from the "Jahar" account? Well, along with being a consumer of pop culture and certain illegal substances, "Jahar" was apparently a "9/11 Truther":

Yikes.

And here’s a cryptic tweet from Aug.  2012:

Now it’s important to note a few things:

  1. "Jahar” loved smoking cigarettes, according to his classmates.
  2. Boston has strict smoking laws.
  3. Based on his twitter feed, he also loved “smoke” of the non-tobacco variety.

So maybe he was simply talking about the difficulty of smoking cigarettes in city. He may have also been talking about the dangers of smoking illegal substances in areas with heavy police traffic. Still, why the Boston Marathon? Eight months before the attacks?

As of this writing, like most everything in this case, the reason is unclear.

Surprisingly enough, his account was active as recently as Wednesday when he tweeted, “I'm a stress free kind of guy.”

Most of his account is fairly harmless, filled with reference to rap songs (“so much hate i need a ak” rap lyrics posted on July 15, 2012), but there are a few tweets that seem little off-putting (considering what "Jahar" and his brother have been accused of):

Allegations that "Jahar" was somehow involved in the Boston Bombings came as a shock to many in his social circle given his, as Chen puts it, “laid-back reputation”:

Here’s a collection of his tweets dating back to Oct. 25, 2011 [Content Warning: strong language]:
