Meet Former Navy SEAL Who Now Trains K-9s to Jump Out of Planes and Work on Combat Deployments

Mike Ritland and one of the K-9's he trains for the NAVY SEALS (Wilkow)

Mike Ritland served 12 years active duty as a U.S. Navy SEAL and says he realized his true calling while seeing a military working dog in action during his combat deployment in Iraq. Ritland founded his own company, Trikos International, training and supplying dogs for SEAL teams, Homeland Security, Customs, Border Patrol, the Department of Defense and private individuals. Ritland specializes in protection dog training, military dog training, police dog training and guard dog training, and is the author of the new book "Trident K9 Warriors: My Tale From the Training Ground to the Battlefield with Elite Navy SEAL Canines."

Ritland and his K-9 Rico joined 'Wilkow!' Wednesday to talk about the training of the U.S. Navy SEALs K-9 soldiers.
