“I mean, if we could get guns under control, if we could get rid of them, I’m with all of that."
Hollywood actors are rarely shy when it comes to expressing their opinion on a range of political, hot-button issues. The topic of gun control is no exception.
Prior to the White House Correspondents' Dinner this past weekend in the nation's capital, actors Tracy Morgan, Kate Walsh and Tim Daly all seem to be on board when it comes to gun control, asserting that tighter regulations will not infringe on Americans' constitutional rights.
For his part, Morgan told PJ Media's Nicholas Ballasy that he wants President Obama and Congress to “get rid of guns.”
“I mean, if we could get guns under control, if we could get rid of them, I’m with all of that. I’ve had a lot of friends that have died violently from guns. Of course. I hope that wasn’t a booby trap question.”
Morgan's comments were made during the Creative Coalition event preceding the Correspondents’ Dinner.
