Do You Recognize the Country Music Star Who Rushed to Save Motorists After a 3-Semi Accident?

"He responded and did exactly what he had been taught to do and was a huge help."

Before he was a country music star, he was an Army veteran. And before that he was an EMT. On Sunday, country music star Craig Morgan put both experiences to use when he and members of his entourage leaped into action and helped rescue motorists involved in a semi-truck accident in Tennessee.

Morgan was returning from one of his concerts in Texas when three tractor-trailers crashed in front of his tour bus on I-40 in Humphreys County. Morgan and two of his crew members, Jerry Hines and Joey Greer, rushed in to help, extinguishing a fire and caring for some of the victims.

"He responded and did exactly what he had been taught to do and was a huge help," Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis told WTVF-TV in Nashville. "This is just another example of the kind of guy he is, he loves doing things for others."

The drivers involved in the accident received only minor injuries.

The news has been quickly circulating. The country music site Country Weekly has a story:

And local channel WTVF took interest, too:

The interest is partly due to Morgan's propensity to play the Good Samaritan. In 2011 -- again on his way home from a tour stop -- he entered a burning Tennessee home to rescue two children. When firefighters arrived he helped them put out the blaze.
